Making cables and getting new toys

Last evening I spent making cables for my new hamshack installation..

12 pieces of RG58 cables with an BNC, N and UHF connectors.

Other end of coaxials are going thru wall and in this panel.

Panel will be mounted bottom of waterproof elecricbox and attached outside wall of hamshack.

Also bought some "new" toys for my collection. All rigs are in 100% working condition with original mikes and accessories.

Cable panel

Making an cable panel to bring antennalines thru wall in to my shack.

Connectors are 5*Amphenol SO239, 5*N-connector from RFSupplier.com and 2*BNC also from RFsupplier.com.

Setting up my "new" 18+4,5m mast.

2m Super J-pole

Today I got an idea to build Super j-pole antenna also to 146MHz band. It took about 2 hours to finish. Feedpoint and testing must wait until next week.

Measuring Super J-Pole

Today I did some SWR-measurements to antenna.

Results were quite interesting...

Planning rack setup

Designing rack setup for my radio equipment.
Standard 19" 10HE rack will hold everything except ts-480sat and GSV3000.

From top to bottom:

• SWR -meter and HAM Intl. Multimode3 on top of rack
• Behringer FBQ3102 equalizer
• MFJ 1278 TNC
• Mobile dualbander rig. Probably Yaesu FT-7900E
• Anytone AT-5555 v4
• 2pcs. Amecom 45 cb-radios for packet operations
• RM Bla 300 amplifier.

Left from TNC and rigs are microphone connectors. With short cables rigs can be connected to 2 ports at tnc. Also normal mic can be connected.

Cooling fans will be added behind rigs as necessary.

Homemade camera to mast top.

Just finished my DIY "waterproof" camera for my mast.

Interface cable

Just made an interface cable between Baofeng BF-U3 and computer. I planned to use it as repeater with simplex software, but it didn't work quite like I thought.. It needs more testing and setting up.
